A Rare Flash Flood in the East

Dated: 2022 Dec 31 Sat 7 J-Akhir 1444H

The 2022 Dec 15-31 covid, arbitrarily assigned was MCO-F5-19, topping the previous measures of COVID-MCO-es. The SOP of face-masking was purely a personal choice. Nearly all had abandoned it. The asymptotic data of MOH is still at a significant level. Noted the choice of protective of some when present in an unfamiliar crowding place.

Dec 16 Fri 21 J-Awal 1444H, strolling PASAR MARAS, but we were rather late, with a very light drizzling started, therefore a desertion took its course quickly. Drove on to FRIDAY KETAPANG. Fortunately the weather was getting better. The rakyat enjoyed the rainless-morning-fresh-air in a market place. In fact the weather the whole Fri was sunny and warm with quite a blue sky toward the end of the day.

Dec 18 Sun 23 J-Awal 1444H, a windy day with a sporadic torrence of downfall. The monsoon wind continued through to the night. Strongly. By wee hr of the next day Dec 19 Mon 24 J-Awal 1444H, it was a constant raining, the kind that was very familiar to the folks. And FLOODING ensued, sinking the lowland all over. Noted that a similar FLOOD had come here in last FEB end week. In the media it was reported that BESUT-JERTEH were hit hard by the overflowing water. P-PANJANG was not excluded.

We were at home in SG MERAB during the last few days of the year 2022. Dec 30 Fri 6 J-Akhir 1444H Emy-Aqila MEK from TRG dropped by while in TENERA for a relative wedding reception in off-PKNS. Ruby et al, and Malini et al joined. SB returned for the home week-end. Dec 31 Sat 7 J-Akhir 1444H, Zidni et al put up with us, perhaps after more than a decade or so they moved out. Sat was a TENERA DAY, preceded by an ATM visit in x-LOTTA. It was noted the regression of the mall especially the 'evolution' of the anchor attractant from WARTA, to BINTANG, to GIANT, to HERO.

Dec 15 Thu 20 J-Awal 1444H, a drive to KT Bandar, to the Urban Transection Centre (UTC) in Paya Bunga Sq. Done with NA's LHDN matter, acquired my new PP, and in the nearby complex, a TH transfer. OTW home, nostalgy-ing Mok Ngoh in Jln Sutan Omar, during which the Pok Ngoh gave a courtesy hi, asking about my retirement. MokNgoh who was usually at the cash machine was not seen any where.

Dec 23 Fri 28 J-Awal 1444H, a ngekoh in Mok's place after jumaat. Dec 24 Sat 29 J-Awal 1444H, a fully sunshine day. In some instances the prickly heat began re-pierce-ing the skin. Fetched SB in the early morning at J-Masjid Bus Station on an SP-BUMI ex-Air Keroh. Had Kak-Pah nasi-dagang in RR Batu Buruk. After zohor, 3-beranak attended Jaafar Bajuri walimah in Raudatul Zziarah Banggol Tok Jiring. Followed by a spree in Sabasun for the flood-relief contents the next day in Jertih.

Dec 25 Sun 1 J-AKHIR 1444H, a Malaysia X-Mas break. DRV-JERTIH, 3-beranak, accompany-ing NA to dispense a token of sympathy to the flood-affected asnaf in P-Panjang vic. Nonetheless we were taken to drive, for the first time, up to PANCHOR. Noted the showing of extent of damages to belongings caused by flooding water.

Dec 27 Tue 3 J-Akhir 1444H, night, SB returned to Ayer Keroh by SP-BUMI. While in W-Tengah since Dec 24 Sat, SB was quite a man about the house, including accompany-ing in dispense-ing to Jertih. But the most was being a handyman at home.

Dec 29 Thu 5 J-Akhir 1444H, DRVKUL in TAV with NA. It was in a fine weather. Initially strolling in the vicinity of Batu-6, then after a meal in Kubang Jela HALIZA, decided to taste the new bypass Durian Burung to Kuala Ibai, and thus all by the beach road to Dungun to take LPT2 at Kuala Dungun toll. Traffic-wise, both LPT-s were fine, light-traffic. Nonetheless as always, MRR2 was in constant constipation in BTS construction stretch. We were rather late than usual, in fact we stopped in Masjid Kuala Abang for the zohor-asar. And home-ed in Sg Merab by sun-set.

Monsoon Everywhere

Dated: 2022 Dec 14 Wed 19 J-Awal 1444H

The 2022 Dec 1-14 covid, arbitrarily assigned was MCO-F5-18, topping the previous measures of COVID-MCO-es, the SOP of face-masking was just a personal choice. Nonetheless when present in a foreign crowding place its better to be protective. The asymptotic data of MOH is still of significant level. The air of Monsoon was beginning to be felt since several days ago. Bright in the morning, cloudy in the late afternoon, raining in the evening through to the wee hr of the night.

Dec 3 Sat 8 J-Awal 1444H, after walimah in KL GATEWAY, ank-cu2 gathered for a belated KEK-ing for ASRI's BD-22 of Nov 23. All pcs were in except Hanif and Farhan. Alya 3-beranak returned Dec 2 Fri, picking up SB in Ayer Keroh, pooling TTB. And the return pooling Dec 5 Mon, in the morning.

Dec 14 Wed 19 J-Awal 1444H, DRVTGG in TAV with NA. Traffic-wise it was a routine congestion in BTS, but weather-wise it a rather wet drive, especially in the east coast. It was raining in W-Tengah when we arrived in the evening, and signs were abound that it had been raining for the past many days with low-land areas were still immersed in water.

DEC 1 Thu 6 J-Awal 1444H, DRVKUL. It was a heavy downfall as soon as we started off after b-fast in MANIR-2, where we were hi-ed by a Uniza finance Dep staff who still remembered me, and my UKM-CHEM student, Uniza Hospital admin. Nonetheless, the downfall stopped at the Telemong junction. It was a fine weather throughout LPT2 and LPT1. Cloudy sans rain, and cool. Refuelling in Paka RR, and refreshment in Gambang RR. Traffic was very light. Even congest-less in MRR2. However from Mines in BESRAYA, it was a heavier downfall, through to Sg Merab home, ca 6.

Dec 3 Sat 8 J-Awal 1444H, a walimah in KL GATEWAY, that of Zawiah. The first time we managed to attend her walimah, although they made to our place in a couple of occasions, it was thus an effort. Went 4-beranak, plus Alya 3-beranak in borrowed Alza. Asri opted to skip, he said unwell. A glimpse of a fold of PADANG MIDIN alumni especially the girls, and a couple of SAS-ans. When we arrived, Mohd Embong said Razak had just left. Among the girls, Wan Fatimah, who was with a son, was the most familiar as she was a classmate.
