The v2-2 Total Lockdown Q2, Finally a DRVTGG

Dated 2021G Jul 12 Mon 2 Z-Hijjah 1442H

Expectedly the MCO was extended to MCO-v3-5, Jun 29 Tue to Jul 12 Mon, topping the previous measure of COVID-MCO-es. The interstate travel was not insight with the RAYA HAJI, Jul 20 Tue, approaching. Despite MCO, the positives lingered around 5-6k. In the peninsular, SEL-KL-PUTRAJAYA maintained the large chunk of the positive pie.

Jul 1 Thu 20 Z-Kaedah, Malini et al were at home for the internet she said hers was very clumsy for the children to use for the online school. In the afternoon, ZIDNI posted that his #3M, my CU2-19, was born. Zidni spent quite a day in Sg Merab post-son-birth. At night NA received the MITTI approval of her office operational. We thus decided for a DRVTGG the next day, she thus prepared all the docs for a p-approval. NA was delighted. And before we went to bed, a beep in NA's hp, that she's on turn for the 1-st dose of VACN, in GONG BADAK, Jul 4 Sun.

Jul 2 Fri 21 Z-Kaedah SB started off just after subuh, driving back to AYER KEROH to break his WFH. He decided so in advance of Jul 3 SELANGOR strict MCO. And by dhuha, we were in B-BAGINDA P-Station for the clearance of a DRVTGG. It was a quiet DRVTGG, on MTD and both LPT, with r-blok in BENTONG, PRASING, and PETALING, plus one column-CAMERA after Temerloh RR. Arrived in Sepetir, Tok Jembal to estimate how much things to be done. Zohor-Asar in the latter. Home in W-Tengah before Asar. Signs that it was a dry spell for the past weeks, but the worst was the plants, especially PISANG had been menaced by the cattle, and perhaps feral as well. The KACANG however flourished bearing a lot of fruits. Our last DRVTGG was Apr 28 Wed 16 Ramadan, and returning DRVKUL May 4 Tue 22 Ramadan for the Shawal 1442, Thu May 13 in Sg Merab.

Jul 9 Fri 28 Z-Kaedah 1442H, berjumaat in Masjid Telipot, about which from today TRG opened the Masjid with SOP to the capacity. My last Jumaat was Apr 30 Ramadan 18, also in Telipot. On returning to BANGI then, Masjid B-Baginda was closed to non-invited under MCO. And since then, 4-beranak missed.

My mother had two more daughters. One, 5F AINI, passed away in ca 1963 when she was ca 3y. The other, 7F AKMAM, passed away in 1987 Apr 1, when she was ca 21, then survived by a hubby, AMIN, and daughter, AYU FARIHA, born 1987 Mar. The former passed away in 2004, and the latter passed away in 2008 Aug 24.

A Push to Jerteh and Home Raya Haji in Sg Merab, and Back to TRG

The covid was getting worse. The capital states contributed more than half of the entire country. The MCO status had become localised, the people could not comprehend which status applied to which state, and what one could do and what one could not do. The only sure thing among the people was no-interstate travel, and thus people sneaked for any kind of reason to get the police endorsement to travel.

In the soaring positives, what followed was MCO-v3-6, Jul 13 Tue to Jul 26 Mon, topping the previous measure of COVID-MCO-es, covering the RAYA HAJI 1442H.

DRVTGG on Jul 2 Fri was on the pretext of Law Firm operational which NA worked out diligently while in Sg Merab. But of course she has the trump card of the VACN Jul 4 in Gong Badak Stadium which was not used at any of the three check points. While in TRG, NA worked similarly with GERAKTANI of KEMEN PERTANIAN in order to DRV-JERTEH to see the durian progress. And after several online IV and form filling with several re-attachment, Jul 12, she managed to get the GERAKTANI endorsement of an orchard owner which under MCO was an essential.

Jul 14 Wed 4 Z-Hijjah 1442H, DRV-JERTEH under the GERAKTANI endorsement of an orchard owner. Surprisingly we met no r-blok along the way to-and-fro. In Jerteh, incidentally the durian were on the go, both in TOK BUGIS and in P-RIMAU. It was a durian time, a clean orchard in T-BUGIS, but over a tall grass in P-RIMAU. Nonetheless, not to the wish of ank2 to have the orchard-fun-time. Notably in K NERUS it was durian all the road sides left and right. But not so in Setiu-Besut. Obviously in the former the fruit was from other than Besut.

Jul 16 Fri 6 Z-Hijjah 1442H, DRVKUL. NA opted to coast the beach road up to Kemaman to rendz with a colleague to pass on the ACT copies. MITTI endorsement was used at four places of R-BLOK. Took LPT2 at Chukai ITC. The final 5-th r-blok was before crossing the toll plaza in Gombak. Noted along the way, traffic was very light. At the RR's on LPT1, only haulers were seen parking. With most of the food stall were closed, no cars would stop. MRR2 was unusually clear. The construction in MALAWATI was at the end, as well as in the FLAMINGO. Even in BTS the massive works appeared stopped that Gombak-SgMerab was made below the bench-mark time.

Jul 25 Sun 15 Z-Hijjah 1442H, NA had her DOSE-2 of VACN at the same place Stadium Gong Badak. With that we used up our trump-card. It was such a huge turn up at the stadium. While waiting, I sneaked out visiting MEK in Petai Bubus. Not much was updated though.

Jul 18 Sun 8 Z-Hijjah 1442H, finally done the PLUGGING of the water-invading retaining wall of the monsoon drain. Ank2 efforts were indispensable.

Jul 19 Mon 9 Z-Hijjah 1442H, CB and ASRI each had their dose-1 of VACN. The former in Move-n-Pick KLIA, and the later, who I accompanied, in MMU Cyberjaya, at which the numerous recipient dragged us home-ed by past 9 at night from reg time at ca 6. Unlike reportedly 1-hr-only in Move-n-Pick.

Jul 20 Tue 10 Z-Hijjah 1442H, Raya Haji, and it was at home in Sg Merab. Basically 4-beranak with accompany-ing Ruby, Malini, and Muzani et al, and PokJo. Zidni et al were in Cyberjaya and Alya et al were in JB, all were trapped by the MCO. SB opted to spend at his workplace in Ayer Keroh for almost similar reason. Nonetheless a hind-limb of a cattle kept us occupied all day at home, courtesy of PokJo and his Taman Team of Sect-3, Bangi.

Jul 23 Fri 13 Z-Hijjah 1442H, DRVTGG in TAV with NA. It was a fine DRV in MTD, and both LPT's. Even in MRR2. The weather was fine too, with very light traffic. Three r-blok we had to pass. After Bentong toll, Prasing, and Bukit Jong after exiting LPT2. In all three, the p/w "veksin" appeared to be operational. Nonetheless, we have with us the trump card. NA's dose-2 Jul 25 Sun in Stadium Gong Badak. Arrived in W-Tengah with plenty of time for zohor. TRG was perhaps very hot in the afternoon, but cool and windy at night with a lot of morning dew.

Jul 24 Sat 14 Z-Hijjah 1442H, DRV-JERTEH after zohor for a DURIAN SPREE. The durian was at the peak in Jerteh judging by the fact that the PERAIH PRICE was as low as 2rm/kg for the A-class.

From Jerteh Down to JB by Sg Merab

Jul 30 Fri 20 Z-Hijjah 1442H, jumaat in Telipot. The masjid was full since before azan, and as always, SOP was reminded, amidst the soaring rise of positives in TRG.

Jul 31 Sat 21 Z-Hijjah 1442H, one more DRV-JERTEH. The main task was in P-RIMAU, to clear the free-area for the plantlet, especially NYIOR which were sunken by the very tall grass. The mowing was in the afternoon, unshadowed heat. And the TOKLITOP was not to be missed.

Aug 2 Mon 23 Z-Hijjah 1442H, a water-woo in K NERUS district. It was notified by SATU that the sub-1200mm pipe in Sg Trg had leaked. And it would take many days to get fixed. Perhaps up to Aug 10 Tue, or beyond. By Aug 5 Thu, all three 150-gal tanks in W-Tengah were empty. We moved to TOK JEMBAL in the late morning with overnight accs. And to settle here to the day of DRVKUL.

Aug 6 Fri 27 Z-Hijjah 1442H, DRV-JERTEH once again, for the last 'harvest' for this season, in all three sites. GERAKTANI was invoked in BITANG. In T-Bugis, planted a CASHEW, ex-PENDI JABI. MANGGIS was still an harvest, on several trees. But the RAMBUTAN in P-RIMAU was unharvested for the lack of PERAIH interest. SAMSO helped chopped a branch for Bangi destination. Duku-dokong were not the rezeki this season.

Jul 26 Mon, Muzani, so pre-arranged, arrived in W-Tengah from BANGI. And the next day Jul 27 Tue, tagged on a DRV-JERTEH, for a DURIAN SPREE. This time Muzani loaded his Triton, and on the same day, DRV-KUL, reaching Sg Merab before 10. And disbursed the loads to the recipients, viz, including Alya in JB, and SB in Ayer Keroh the next day Wed.

Noted that Jul 29 Thu 19 Z-Hijjah 1442H, ALYA et al returned to BANGI for the weekend, to have the VACN in EVO, and thus spent the weekend in BANGI. SB joined from AYER KEROH for their usual weekend BBQ when they have the opportunity.

Weather-wise, in TRG was rather erratic, but hot and humid in the afternoon, and rainy at night was frequent. The KEMBONG season was nearly over. The fishermen said the sea was too calm for a good harvest. The Kubang Badak beach was quiet off the frenzy. Nonetheless, the WATASEK for the fillet was available on daily basis in the darat-stalls. Ayer were easily available, but the size were that of not-local.

Aug 7 Sat 28 Z-Hijjah 1442H, DRVKUL in TAV. Loading was rather messy since both Tok Jembal and W Tengah fridges were involved. It was a past mid-day setoff. Both LPT2, and LPT1 were quiet. Noted the RR-s were abandoned. Zohor-asar was made in Kuantan LB. One R-BLOK before the Gombalk toll plaza. This time GERAKTANI was invoked. MRR2 was very clear, including in BTS. Gombak-Sg-Merab was made in just 35-min. Sg Merab was dry when we arrived, just after 6.

Aug 9 Mon 30 Z-Hijjah 1442H, accompanied ASRI in the afternoon to MMU for his 2-dose VACN. At the same time CB went to MOVE-n-PICK KLIA for the same. SB had his 1-dose, Tue Aug 3 in the vicinity of his working place in Ayer Keroh. Theoretically, his 2-dose would be ca Aug 24 Tue, i.e. by a 3-W quantum.

An Aborted Gathering

Dated 2021G Aug 23 Mon 14 Muharram 1443H

The MCO rule-regulation has got so mixed up, that the people paid only a little attention to it, apart from the dire need to move again from place to place. The positives were still at an alarming figure, and kept increasing. LEMBAH KELANG contributed more than the rest of the country. In the soaring positives, what followed was MCO-v3-8, arbitrarily taken for a two-weeks quantun, Aug 10 Tue to Aug 23 Mon, topping the previous measure of COVID-MCO-es. The vaccination programme was a phenomenon, but in the media, there were reports that VAC-recipients were +_tested, even detoriarated to ICU.

Aug 16 Mon 7 Muharram 1443H, the peak of post-PRU-14-2018 POLITIC. TS Muhyiddin PM-8 and his cabinet resigned, putting the Gov under him as caretaker PM. With that, the pressuring noises of Kerajaan Gagal handling the covid was dye-ing down. The post PRU-14 politic was very complex, the rakyat were in a hell of confusion over what were being squabbled by the voted. Nonetheless the initial 22-months Cabinet of PM-7, who was the recycled PM-4, had made a huge damages to the nature of the country that certain quarters felt that a stopping was needed, which led to the appointment of PM-8.

Elsewhere in the world, US abandoned Afghanistan after 20 years of occupation, disappearing at night from the base like a thief. The US-citizen-puppet President fled, obviously en route to his motherland US. And thus Taliban returned. In South Africa, the people were rioting, looting, etc, the former President was detained allegedly for the same doings.

Aug 19 Thu 10 Muharram 1443H, ALYA ET AL home-returned ex-JB, arriving at past m-night. The cross-state was on the pretext of 2-DOSE VACN in EVO off PKNS. Alya et al were home three weeks ago for the 1-dose VACN, we were then in TRG. SB returned home from Ayer Keroh Aug 20 Fri 11 Muharram 1443H night to join. The weekend Aug 21 was a rare moment of full house 34-pcs, with all 19 cu2, and in SG MERAB. A gathering was suggested with the moment to be captured in an img. However since that Thu, Ruby w-msg-ed that many in her home were enduring demam2, pening ppala, sakit tekak. And thus the gathering was aborted. The masak2 went on, and the cooked foods were 'panda-ed' to each house.

Nation-wise, Fri, PM-9 was sworn in, DS ISY. The political noises would re-start when cabinet members were being appointed as the day goes by in the following weeks.

Aug 22 Sun 13 Muharram 1443H ALYA et al left for JB. Been noting that Zaim and Zafir were growing closely, quarrelling with each other sometimes, perhaps like my elder brother and I were in the early 50-s minus the modern environ. And the next day, Aug 23 Mon SB first thing after subuh, drove off, returning to Ayer Keroh.

Aug 10 Tue was Hijrah new year, 1 MUHARRAM 1443H, a Malaysia break day, but alas, under MCO, it didn't matter very much.

Aug 13 Fri, it was broadcasted at 8 morning, that the delivery tap of the rectified pipe to B Berangan Reservoir was turned on. When the reservoir reached 5m content, the public tap would be turned on, perhaps by the evening. K Nerus home tanks were dry since Aug 2 Mon. When we made the DRVKUL Aug 7 Sat 28 Z-Hijjah 1442H, all the three 150-gal tanks in W-Tengah home were empty. And the two 100-gal tanks in Tok Jembal, and the 100-gal tank in Sepetir were almost empty.

Waiting for the Tap to Flow

Covid was temporarily forgotten in the mids of the appointment of PM-9, Aug 20 Fri. For the time being the worsening positive figures was not the fault of PM, but when the cabinet line up was announced, the political games was re-on-ed. In the soaring positives, what followed was MCO-v3-9, arbitrarily taken for a two-weeks quantun, Aug 24 Tue to Sep 6 Mon, topping the previous measure of COVID-MCO-es. Interstate, even interdistrict movement restriction order were much the current talk of the town.

Had not been w-texting in ALUMNI SMKPM for a long time. Posted a 3-y old memory of a Raya Haji, in case buddies were asking.

Confirmed the water-woo 2.0 in TRG, and at the same place, the same problem, affecting the same area K Nerus. Info from SATU said the no-water may prolong up to Sep 12, which usually it meant a bit more beyond. The home in W-Tengah was left no-water since Aug 7. It was noted Aug 13 in the media, the water had returned, and thus the tanks were full again, until several days later. With that the DRVTGG was deferred to a date to be decided.

Gradually taking down the img files from the cyberspace, leaving only the insect-size harmless, and the text. Nonetheless the original composition and set were preserved locally, including the mock-upload.

Braising for Interstate

It was mentioned that covid was to be shifted from a PANDEMIC to an ENDEMIC, whatever it meant. In the media, the sound of harbi barking of LETAK JAWATAN was getting slower, the positive decreased rather slowly. In the lingering positives, what followed was MCO-v3-10, arbitrarily taken for a two-weeks quantun, Sep 7 Tue to Sep 20 Mon, topping the previous measure of COVID-MCO-es. Beyond Sep 20 was as unpredictable as ever. Interstate, even interdistrict movement restriction order were much the current talk of the town. But seen or posted in the media were that of DINE-IN for those with a complete vacc. MOH said the data from Sep 11 Sat was restructured to reflect the real situation of covid, mostly to explain the big jump in the CONCEDED figure which was abnormally high. Since then the table was filled by abstraction from two different MOH sites.

Sep 9 Thu, postings were seen in the media that the water supply in K NERUS was restored. With that a DRVTGG was anticipated in a few days time. The last DRVTGG was Jul 23 Fri 13 Z-Hijjah 1442H, and the return DRVKUL was Aug 7 Sat 28 Z-Hijjah 1442H. W-Tengah, T-Jembal, and Sepetir were left alone for about a month now.

Sep 12 Sun 5 Safar 1443H, eventually made a DRVTGG. Apparently, interstate was still an MCO. For TGG-wards, the check points were after Bentong toll plaza, and at PRASING RR. The MITI letter was in standby to make it. Traffic thus was very clear, both in MRR2, and both LPT. A break in Gambang RR for a refuelling, and another in Kemaman, seeing Nasaaee. It was wet in LPT2 from ca Kemaman ending to Dungun ending. It was dry and sunny when we arrived in W-Tengah. Noted the water restoration. And the usual menaces of small plants by the cattles, and NA's potted plants by the unknown, piggies and kiddies were not excluded.

Sep 13 Mon 6 Safar 1443H, the turn to see the HOME of TOK JEMBAL. Noted the TELAGA BORENG was utilised by KAMAL by quip-ing an auto-pump with the power running from his home. The img of drilling was dated 120121.

The fish re-appeared on the beach. And plenty. However, big species, such as the watasek was uncommon. The price was very reasonable, unlike the current chicken price. Obviously. Sep 19 Sun 12 Safar was a fish 'frenzy' on the beach of Kubang Badak, and Tok Jembal. In the distant, the sea was very calm, mirror-like surface in the morning.

As always the backyard in W-TENGAH needed attention against both flora and fauna infestation. The former was particularly easy to deal with, only laborious work of mowing and pruning. The latter however was harder to deal with. The cheeky cattle owner, let loose their cattle at night as deep as in the wee hr, instead of in daytime, so that the cattle graze the small plants without being chased off. The cattle alternated with feral in the night infesting. The only solution was to fence the area completely.

In the media dated Sep 7 Tue, some of the SATU K NERUS no-water-affair was reportedly progress-ing.

Sep 16 Thu 9 Safar 1443H, DRV-JERTEH with NA in TAV. Despite the interdistrict MCO-free in TRG, there was a check in BITANG, both directions. However it was not to the need of GERAKTANI endorsement, just like in Bentong and Prasing last Sun which was not to the need of MITI endorsement. It was dry in Jerteh, no more MUSIM, this was the time for the maintenance in T-BUGIS. Fertelizer-ing, clearing, cutting selected tree to make free-volume for the more productive trees. Noted the western border fence being erected. With that the trees, especially the manggis and duku, along the western border were ownership-defined. Semut-infested rambutan in P-RIMAU was still delicious, but it's high up to pluck.

Twice to the North

Dated 2021G Sep 30 Thu 23 Safar 1443H

MCO s.q. was not a citizen concern any more. Still in no-interstate MCO, what followed was MCO-v3-11, arbitrarily taken for the rest of September, topping the previous measure of COVID-MCO-es. It was rumoured that no-MCO interstate would be when 90% of the adult citizen were vaccn-ed. As of Sep 22, 58.1% was fully vaccn-ed, 68.4% at least one. Come October, it may any which way.

Sep 23 Thu, four years ago, it was Sat. SB was on a flight to start his 3rd year degree in Osnabruck. His first flight to Germany was 2015 Mar 28 Sat 7 J-Akhir 1436H. It was then to Berlin to finalised his German course for six months. After the qualification, he was admitted to Osnabruck for the degree course in Sep the same year. He finally made it. And apparently it was very tough to get through.

Quite a good selection of fish in the stalls lining the beach road from TERAKIT to DAPOPATA. And plenty of them. The least on demand, the LOLONG was as low as 6rm/kg. Even the KEMBONG KASAR was just 17rm/kg. My favourite WATASEK for the fillet stayed at 10rm/kg.

Sep 25 Sat 18 Safar 1443H, another DRV-JERTEH. On the way singgah Banggol Setiu, rumah Abg Par for a lunch. The Jerteh trip was specifically to P-RIMAU, mowing a bit, for some make up for the lots. Noted that the interdistrict R-BLOK in BITANG had disappeared. And noted, along the way especially homewards by the sun-set, many stalls were preparing to open for the night dining, and noted customers were dropping by, including motorists, and long-distance cargo haulers.

Sep 26 Sun 19 Safar 1443H, was our 6-th anniversary, since 2015 Sep 26 Sat 12 Z-Hijjah 1436H. As before, it was a quiet celebration. On the same date last year, 2020, the 5-th anniv, we were in Jerteh, on routine visit in T-Bugis, and especially in P-Rimau where the lots had been cleared to erect the border fence. It was then DUKU-DOKONG time.

An update from an ex-staff during the KOTA time, the Asst Science Officer En Burhanuddin Shamsuddin invoking his colleague's Zulkifli Ismail posting dated 2015 Sep 28, equally six years ago.

Sep 29 Wed 22 Safar 1443H, DRVKUL after sixteen days in TRG with twice to Jerteh with one stop-over in Setiu. Both T-Bugis and P-Rimau had its own turn of a small tending. It was not of any MUSIM. A peek in PAYA DATU to see how nature and time were tearing apart once a merry home a piece at a time. And a rendv with Dr Abdullah in PAKA RR for a legal matter. RR were not yet fully operational. Another break in Lanchang for a wash, and home in Sg Merab. The weather was fine, some spotted drizzling in mid Pahang. Traffic was building up, braising for the no-MCO interstate. Nonetheless, the pre-toll Gombak r-blok needed just to flash the pass.
